Queen of Hearts

How the Game Works

The game “Queen of Hearts” is a game of

chance where a successful player wins a

portion of the money held in a Jackpot

and, at the same time, a portion of the

Jackpot is awarded to SBAC as a

fundraiser for our non-profit.

The game begins with a player buying

tickets sold during any given week and

placing the tickets in the return bin. Each

week, at the South Broadway Athletic

Club, one ticket will be drawn from the

bin. On the spot, the owner of the chosen

ticket will have the opportunity to try to

select the Queen of Hearts from a deck of

playing cards game board.

If the owner of the chosen ticket is not

present, the card number written on the

game ticket will be selected. If the ticket

does not have a card number written on it,

or that card is unavailable, the lowest card

number on the game board will be drawn

on his/her behalf.

If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, the

Jackpot will be paid out as described in

the Rules. If not, the game continues until

the Queen of Hearts is drawn.

In addition, there are smaller prizes if the

player does not draw the Queen of Hearts

but draws the queen of diamonds, clubs,

or spades or one of the two jokers. In

those instances, the winner must be

present to win as outlined in the Official

Rules.

Official Rules

The purchase of a raffle ticket is evidence

of the player’s agreement with, and

willingness to conform to all Rules, as

described below.

All tickets are $1.00 each, with no limit on

the number of tickets that may be

purchased by a player. All tickets must

have players legal name and phone #

clearly printed on the back of the ticket.

If not present at the weekly drawing,

please include desired card selection. If

not present and desired card selection is

not listed, the lowest available card

number on the board will be selected on

your behalf.

Tickets may be purchased prior to the first

drawing and any time after each weekly

drawing until 8:00 pm in person the day of

the weekly drawing.

Each game will begin with a full deck of

cards, including two jokers. A number, 1

to 54, will be displayed on the back of

each card in the deck on the game board.
